Lodge House Rules
The following house rules have been designed the help ensure OMSKI members and their guests enjoy their time at the lodge.
Please keep in mind OMSKI is not a hotel, and everyone must take responsibility for themselves, their families and their guests. Please have respect for yourself, for your environment and for others at all times.
CLEANING:
To keep costs down, we do not employ professional cleaners. So it is extremely important all OMSKI members and guests pull their weight. Every visitor to the lodge is expected to:
SMOKING and VAPING:
OMSKI is a non-Smoking and non-vaping lodge. Members and guests should not smoke or vape in the lodge or on any attached balconies or walkways. Cleaning fees and additional sanctions will be applied to any members or guests in breach of this policy.
KIDS CURFEWS:
During the snow season there are expectations regarding suitable times for children to be actively encouraged to be heading to bed. In the upstairs lounge area, we do expect children to leave at a suitable time. This is an adults area after 9:00PM and it isn't appropriate to have children around later at night. Whilst we respect every parent’s right to ‘parent’ their own children, we ask that you respect that we encourage reasonable bed times for children
CHILDREN’S BEHAVIOUR:
While staying at OMSKI, parents must always take responsibility for their children (17 years and under), and any other children in their care. Making lots of noise late at night, keeping others awake, uncontrolled behaviour, property damage and swearing is unacceptable. OMSKI is a family Lodge where this type of conduct has the potential to ruin all the other guests’ time at the Lodge. The Committee reserve the right to suspend members and guests from staying at the Lodge if their, or their children's behaviour is deemed unacceptable.
DRYING ROOM/LOST PROPERTY:
During peak season, school holidays, interschool competitions and busy weekends, there is often chaos in the drying room. Please remove all of your articles once they are dry and don’t use the drying room as a store room. Clearly mark every item to prevent mix-ups.
Members are required to remove all items from the drying and ski rooms when they vacate the lodge even if ski clothes/boots etc. are still wet.
NO CLOTHING OR OTHER ITEMS ARE TO BE LEFT IN SKI/DRYING ROOMS AFTER LEAVING THE LODGE.
Many groups stay at OMSKI midweek and need all the space in the drying room. All items left in drying room or left lying around in ski room will be removed and put in the lost property cupboard and eventually disposed.
NO FOOD TO BE LEFT AT LODGE
Unless being stored in your private locker, all food must be removed when vacating the lodge, (even if you are returning the following weekends.) Large fridges and freezers which are located in the laundry/ downstairs area are not for communal use.
Have a happy time when staying at OMSKI
