Helpful Hints
Helpful hints to make your and others stay at OMSKI more comfortable. 2023
Please note all members and guests must provide their own doona covers, sheets, bathmats, pillowslips and towels. Doonas are provided for every bed in the lodge
- Clean up any mess made by you, your children and guests anywhere in lodge (at all times).
- Stagger meal times with other members/guests to ease congestion in kitchen and dining areas.
- Clean up the kitchen area you used immediately after eating. Stack crockery/cutlery in dishwasher and turn it on. Please scrape and rinse the items before putting them in the dishwasher. The dishwasher is a commercial one and cycles take around 5 minutes. When the cycle is complete remove the cleaned items and put them away immediatly. For items requiring handwashing (frypans, saucepans, metal baking dishes, kitchen knives etc) thoroughly wash, dry and put away when you have finished dining. Please do not leave dirty dishes around for others to deal with. If a pan needs to soak, come back and clean it as soon as possible
- When you have finished, please quickly move to lounge area to allow others to dine.
- Communal Duties: OMSKI is not a hotel, but rather a friendly club. We rely on guests to perform their duties to ensure the helpful efficient running of the lodge.
- Please carry out allocated duties (as per list on whiteboard in dining area) on a daily basis before going out or going skiing. Communal duties are now being rotated around rooms and not permanently assigned to a room number. In peak periods, some jobs will be allocated to more than one room at a time. Rooms can share duties to ensure good time coverage for the task. The Lodge Manager is in charge of allocating these duties and assesses which jobs need doing and will designate to rooms as appropriate
- Spa/Sauna - The spa/sauna area is available for member and guest use. Children under 16 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult. Please ensure the spa/sauna floor is mopped dry and safe to leave after use. No glassware is allowed in or around the spa. The spa/sauna door code is located on the lodge notice board
